Secil 714: Great vintage ladies summer tops knitting pattern 1940s. There are three great design that were very popular during the 1950s and 1960s. I made lots of these in my youth as they went with every thing, suits, skirts, shorts, slacks or jeans depending on the yarn they can look dressy or casual and are very cool - add a few beads at neck and armhole or dotted across the front and trim with angora for evening style! Worked in vintage 3ply, so work a tension square. To fit 32, 34, 36 inch bust.

Sentinel 152: Blousette: Great vintage ladies blouse knitting pattern 1940s. These blousettes or fronts were very popular to wear with suits in the austerity years during and following the war. You did not have to knit back or sleeves, so saved money and if you kept your jacket on no one was the wiser - no central heating on trains, buses or offices in those days, let alone homes! Length adjustable, no bust size needed as it is only a front! I have an original front like this in my collection of ladies clothing from the first half of the 20th Century knitted in silk. I have more of these patterns I just need to find them - they really are useful and great at reenactment meeting or stage productions

Silver Jubilee 4: Great vintage ladies jacket knitting pattern early 1920s to fit the larger figure. This is so typical of the era and would fit 40, 42 or 44 inch bust. Changing needle size to get the different sizes. They suggest using cable wool which would have been thicker than average wool of the age. Looking at the diagram and the size needles suggest it might well work in Aran ply, there is no tension instructions, but if you work a tension square using the needles suggested and yarn preferred then you will see the size it will work out to and can adjust accordingly. It is lovely to these really old patterns.
